Licensees are required to complete 24 credit hours of continuing education every 2 years.
Those listed below are exempt from the CE requirement:
1. Licensees in your first renewal period if your initial license was not issued for a full 2-year period.
2. Those licensed before January 1, 1980, even if the license has not been continuous.
3. If you are a non-resident and you have met the CE requirements of your home state.
4. If you are licensed as a limited lines, retired, or travel insurance producer, or you have a temporary insurance license.
Exams are non-monitored.
Courses may not be repeated.
Licensees may carryover up to 8 excess credit hours to the next renewal period.
Reporting of credits to the state is not required. Certificates of course completion must be retained by agent for proof of completion.
